We recommend that you take your bearded dragon out of the nursery and spray it. Make sure the bearded dragon is dry before taking it back to kindergarten. This way, you can spray your dragon at any time of the day. If you really want to spray your bearded dragon and your tank, we suggest that you do so before the heating in the enclosure is turned on.
How to tell if your bearded dragon is dehydrated
If you think your bearded dragon may be dehydrated, you can try a skin turgor test. This is done by gently pinching the skin on your bearded dragon’s back. If they are slow to return, this suggests that they may be dehydrated. This is the same test that we would use on the back of the hand.
How often should I spray water on my bearded dragon?
You can spray it 2-4 times a day. However, check the humidity in the tank, as high humidity can promote the growth of bacteria or fungi. The amounts of food depend on the age. Young people will eat more and more frequently. Feed in 10 minute periods 2-3 times a day. It is very important to feed the prey correctly, no larger than the space between the eyes of its beard.
